Job summary
A manufacturing company in Kirkintilloch is seeking a Stores Supervisor to lead their Main Stores Department. Responsibilities include managing a team, ensuring daily KPIs are met, and maintaining stock accuracy. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment, with a hands-on approach and a valid Forklift Truck licence. Benefits include 32 days of holiday and a pension scheme.

- Ability to use ERP systems and general PC applications confidently.
- Must understand BOMs and production kitting processes.
- Strong organisational skills with a hands-on approach.
- A Forklift Truck (Counterbalance) licence is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the team to achieve KPIs and work schedules.
- Receive stock from various suppliers and internal departments.
- Pick and kit jobs for the manufacturing departments.
- Maintain material traceability and stock location accuracy.
- Complete daily and annual stock checks on time.
- Provide daily performance updates and reports.
- Ensure the Stores area is safe, tidy, and organized.
Skills
Our established manufacturing client has created a new role for a Stores Supervisor to lead their Main Stores Department and manage a small team of three.
- Lead, mentor and motivate the team to ensure daily KPIs and work schedules are achieved.
- Receive stock from internal departments and external suppliers.
- Pick and kit jobs to support the manufacturing departments.
- Maintain full material traceability and stock location accuracy.
- Ensure daily and annual stock checks are completed on time.
- Provide daily performance updates and reports.
- Maintain a safe, tidy and organised Stores area in line with H&S standards.
- Previous stores experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proven experience leading or supervising a team.
- Confident using ERP systems and general PC applications.
- Understanding of BOMs and production kitting processes.
- Hands-on approach with strong organisational skills.
- Forklift Truck (Counterbalance) licence required.
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm, Friday: 7:30am - 12:00pm.
- 32 days' holiday (including bank holidays).
