We are seeking a Program Manager to spearhead demand shaping transformation. This role goes beyond traditional capacity management - you will be architecting how we sell, fulfill, and deliver to customers throughout the year. Your strategies will help break the traditional peak-driven capacity model while maintaining our customer-centric approach and competitive advantage in speed.
Key job responsibilities
Lead the development of multi-year strategic roadmap for demand shaping initiatives • Partner with retail teams to reimagine our commercial calendar and selling patterns • Collaborate with operations to design flexible capacity models that scale efficiently • Work with data science teams to develop predictive models for demand shaping • Create financial models that demonstrate the full P&L impact of demand shaping initiatives • Develop metrics framework that holistically measures success across speed, cost, capacity, and service levels
A day in the life
Key Strategic Elements:
• Design the future state of our network utilization model that optimally balances speed, cost, and capacity • Architect new commercial and operational frameworks that encourage year-round balanced selling and fulfillment • Create innovative solutions to maintain fast delivery promises while optimizing network efficiency • Develop strategies to reduce peak capacity requirements while improving year-round asset utilization • Build sustainable models that reduce cost-to-serve without compromising customer experience
Key Responsibilities: • Lead the development of multi-year strategic roadmap for demand shaping initiatives • Partner with retail teams to reimagine our commercial calendar and selling patterns • Collaborate with operations to design flexible capacity models that scale efficiently • Work with data science teams to develop predictive models for demand shaping • Create financial models that demonstrate the full P&L impact of demand shaping initiatives • Develop metrics framework that holistically measures success across speed, cost, capacity, and service levels
Critical Partnerships: You will orchestrate collaboration across: • Retail: Align commercial strategies with operational capabilities • Operations: Design flexible fulfillment models • Data Science: Build advanced forecasting and optimization models • Economics: Develop customer behavior insights and pricing strategies • Finance: Create comprehensive business cases • Product: Implement technical solutions for demand shaping • Transportation: Optimize delivery network utilization
Success Metrics: • Reduction in peak-to-average ratio while maintaining/improving delivery speed • Improvement in year-round cost optimization • Maintained or improved customer experience metrics • Development of scalable, sustainable operating models • Successful implementation of demand-smoothing initiatives
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience in complex system optimization
- Proven track record of driving transformational change
- Experience in balancing competing priorities across multiple stakeholders
- Excellence in data-driven decision making and financial modeling
- Proficiency in English
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience in retail operations or e-commerce
- Knowledge of advanced analytics and machine learning
- Understanding of customer behavior and economic principles
