After a record year of growth and new project wins, theyre now expanding their Controls Engineering Team, offering you the opportunity to work on full-lifecycle automation projects and see your ideas brought to life.
This is a hands-on, full-cycle role that blends electrical design with control software development - perfect for engineers who enjoy variety, ownership, and seeing their systems running on real machinery.
You’ll be responsible for :
- Designing and specifying electrical control circuits for complex machinery
- Creating detailed electrical schematics and panel layouts using CAD software
- Generating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensuring design accuracy and compliance
- Writing and developing PLC and HMI software (Siemens / Omron / Rockwell AB)
- PLC programming - from concept through to commissioning
- Overseeing control system installation, testing, and commissioning (UK & overseas)
- Working closely with Mechanical Design and Projects teams to deliver complete automation solutions
- Proven experience in electrical design engineering and control systems
- Strong background in PLC / HMI programming (Omron, Siemens, or Rockwell / Allen Bradley)
- Working knowledge of Electrical CAD Design, schematics, and panel layouts
- Comfortable managing your own projects and collaborating across departments
- Willingness to travel occasionally for commissioning and customer support (short, planned trips around 45 weeks per year)
- Work on diverse and technically challenging projects from concept to completion
