Salary: £38,095 to £42,105 per annum + Benefits

Location: Catford, South East London (mostly site based in Catford, with occasional travel to other sites in South East London)

Job Type: Full‑Time, Permanent

Working Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Building Maintenance Operative / Multi‑Skilled Tradesperson supporting safe, well‑maintained accommodation for vulnerable adults.

As a Building Maintenance Operative / Multi‑Skilled Tradesperson you will carry out multi‑trade repairs, respond to maintenance issues and uphold health and safety, COSHH and security standards.

This Building Maintenance Operative / Multi‑Skilled Tradesperson role is ideal for someone proactive, organised and committed to delivering high‑quality work within supported housing environments.

• Completing Multi‑Trade Repairs: delivering carpentry, plumbing and general building maintenance

• Investigating Maintenance Issues: identifying faults and determining effective solutions

• Ensuring Health and Safety Compliance: adhering to COSHH, RIDDOR and workplace safety regulations

• Maintaining Site Security: following access control and security procedures

• Using Digital Systems: updating tasks and reports using tablets and online tools

• Managing Workloads: prioritising varied tasks and working efficiently under pressure

• Supporting Residents: maintaining a professional, friendly and respectful approach

• Proven experience of working in a hands‑on maintenance or multi‑trade role

• A background in carpentry, plumbing or a similar trade

• Experience with investigating and resolving maintenance issues

• Good understanding of COSHH, RIDDOR and health and safety regulations

• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Digital literacy to use tablets and online systems

• Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle

• Positive, friendly demeanour with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
