Payroll Delivery Coordinator

Contract: Financial Planning & Analysis

Location: Bolton, BL6 6SU

Hours of work: 37.5

Contract Type: Permanent

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Payroll Delivery Coordinator to support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services.

In this role, you will assist with the day‑to‑day payroll administration, data input, and control checks for the fortnightly payroll cycle, ensuring all information is processed correctly and in line with agreed deadlines.

You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of accuracy while supporting employee, manager, and business queries as needed.

Job Description

You will also support the wider Payroll Team in delivering an exceptional employee experience through precise processing of new starters, leavers, job changes, and personal details.

This role will contribute to payroll mobilisation for new TUPE contracts, assist with compliance activity, and help ensure strong governance across all payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately process payroll data and complete input control checks in line with payroll deadlines.
  • Enter starter, leaver, and employee change data via T&A systems for fortnightly employees.
  • Carry out input validation checks to ensure data accuracy.
  • Administer hourly timesheets and manually input required data.
  • Input additional hours and absence information into the payroll system.
  • Ensure seasonal adjustments and Agenda for Change (AfC) terms and conditions are processed correctly.
  • Support the Payroll Delivery Manager with ad hoc duties during key stages of the payroll cycle.
  • Provide high‑quality customer service to employees and the wider business.
  • Assist with TUPE payroll mobilisation activities within the central Payroll Team.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming post; handle calls and emails in a timely manner.

  • Confident with IT systems, including Excel, Outlook, and handling large volumes of data.

  • Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles.
