NXT Recruitment is proud to be supporting a local business in automation solutions seeking a PLC Programmer. The successful candidate will be involved with designing, commissioning, and maintaining programmable logic controllers and human-machine interface software. You will have excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to build and develop good relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, test and maintain PLC programmes
2. Program and modify control systems using Stepper/Servo drives, Robots, etc.
3. Create and edit HMI systems.
4. Analyse problems and troubleshoot issues remotely or at customer’s sites.
5. Carry out maintenance/modification visits at customer’s sites.
6. Enhance system performance through electrical or software modifications.
7. Liaising with procurement to ensure products are delivered on time and to the right quality

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in the outlined responsibilities.
2. Proven experience in PLC programming.
3. Familiarity with Siemens PLC software and Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. An electrical background would be advantageous for working with electrical drawings and systems such as drives, conveyors, motors, and control panels.
