We are seeking a Product Developer to work on our z/OS Certificate Management product. This team is collocated across the globe and is highly collaborative. You will have a solid background in certificate management and distributed security and will be willing to work with people from different cultures / locations.

As a member of the product development team at BMC you are responsible for coding software and participating in all development efforts to produce high quality, high performing and fault tolerant software.

• Contribute to the development team responsible for developing and debugging of our Certificate Management product.
• Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of several factors.
• Work across product lines with interaction of other BMC products and teams.
• Independently design and implement features that address customer needs with a sense of ownership within given timelines.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• Strong experience designing and implementing mainframe applications or system exits in an IBM z/OS environment
• Strong experience with mainframe high level assembler (HLASM) with structured macros
• Strong knowledge within the certificate management space
• Experience with X.509 Certificates and SSH keys/certs
• Strong development experience of C/C++ on z/OS
• Additional ACF2 and Top-Secret experience beneficial
• Strong experience with JCL, REXX, IBM Utilities and SDSF

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

• CISSP certification highly desirable
• Experience in Windows / Linux administration and security
• Development experience with C# on Windows
• Experience with RACF security administration, macros and programming beneficial
• Experience in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) software
• Documentation skills for developed applications and features
• Diagnostics, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
