A local government authority is seeking a Support Officer to deliver statutory services to young people aged 10-17 within the Criminal Justice system. This role involves working closely with key partners to assess and deliver effective interventions aimed at improving public protection and safeguarding the needs of children. The ideal candidate should be focused, dynamic, and passionate about helping youth, with the ability to work in a multi-agency environment.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (18 Months)
Additional Payments: Casual Car Allowance

You will need to be focused, dynamic and passionate in order to help young people. The role of Support Officer involves working as part of a multi-agency team to deliver statutory services to the courts and community.
It includes assessment, planning and delivering interventions to young people aged 10 – 17 years who are subject to orders within the Criminal Justice System.
The role holder will work with key partners to improve public protection, safeguard the needs of children and young people, and reduce youth offending.

Youth Justice is an exciting and innovative service that consists of a team of friendly, dedicated, caring and hard-working professionals who work closely with courts, young people and their families. Youth Justice deliver excellent outcomes for young people who enter the Criminal Justice system and deliver effective planning for children and families to ensure positive outcomes for children in Manchester.
