Job summary

Codi Group in Merthyr Tydfil is seeking a full-time Scheme Support Officer for our Young Persons Supported Accommodation Service. You'll work with the Manager and a team to provide 24/7 support to young people aged 16-35, helping them develop tenancy skills and move toward independent living.

You'll build positive relationships, deliver tenancy workshops, conduct wellbeing checks, maintain building safety, provide reception support, and support customers with individual plans as part of a

• Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.
• A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life is essential.
• Enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives.
• Strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.

Responsibilities

• Building positive relationships and engaging with the young people we support
• Delivering workshops on tenancy management, health and wellbeing
• Supporting customers in line with their individual support plans, under the guidance of the Project Worker
• Carrying out wellbeing checks and responding to customer needs
• Ensuring the building remains safe and secure, including health and safety checks
• Providing reception cover and administrative support when required
• Managing challenging situations and responding calmly to changing circumstances
• Supporting customers toward greater independence
