Job summary

A youth support organization in Eastleigh seeks a passionate Youth Engagement Worker to provide part-time, one-to-one support to young people. You will build trusting relationships to help them develop essential life skills and improve their well-being. Candidates need a relevant L3 qualification and experience in a similar role. Qualifications

Contract Type: Permanent | Location: Southampton and surrounding areas | Hours: Part‑time – 15 hours per week | Reports to: Keywork Team Leader | Starting Salary: £26,325 - £28,275 (FTE)

We are looking for a passionate and resilient Youth Engagement Worker to provide one‑to‑one and small group support to young people who may be displaying challenging behaviour, are resistant to engagement, or have been involved in or are at risk of low‑level offending.

As a Youth Engagement Worker, you will build trusting relationships with young people, helping them to develop essential life skills, strengthen their social and emotional wellbeing, and work towards positive personal goals. You’ll use a flexible, person‑centred approach to engage those who may find it difficult to access traditional support services, encouraging participation in education, training, and community activities.

About You

  • Qualifications - Relevant L3 qualification in Youth Work, Social Care, or a related field.
  • Experience - Experience working with young people facing multiple barriers or at risk of offending behaviour; Experience in delivering individual support or group work sessions; Experience working within a multi‑agency environment.
