Job description
Primary School in Leigh – February 2026 Start

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a primary school in Leigh to appoint a Year 4 Teacher for a February 2026 start. This role is well suited to an enthusiastic teacher who can build strong foundations in Key Stage 2 and support pupils as they develop independence and confidence in their learning.

About the Role:
  • Lead teaching and learning for a Year 4 class, delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Plan creative and structured learning experiences that support progression in core subjects and the wider curriculum.
  • Use assessment to monitor attainment and identify pupils who may benefit from additional support or challenge.
  • Differentiate effectively to meet a range of learning needs, including SEND and EAL.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues to support pupil progress.
  • Establish clear routines and expectations to promote a positive and productive classroom environment.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and carers to support learning and wellbeing.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2, with a good understanding of lower KS2 expectations.
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and effective classroom practice.
  • Be confident managing behaviour and supporting pupils’ social and emotional development.
