Job description

Yard Operative needed, paying £12.50 – £12.75 ph. 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with an early finish on a Friday. Weekly paid, Permanent position after completing probation.

Based in Warrington.

The Yard Operative opportunity is working within a well-established and industry-leading company in the automotive sector specializing in van conversions. This position involves vehicle deliveries and ensuring all vehicles are parked around the compound and are ready for production staff.

Duties of the Yard Operative Role:

1. Parking vans suitably in the yard until they are needed for the workshop.
2. Ensuring vigilance with security, and making sure all vehicles are locked when not in use.
3. Keeping the management team up to date with spaces at the storage compound.
4. Maintaining a clean driving licence.
5. Being physically fit due to climbing in and out of vehicles daily.
6. Booking in and out/completing paperwork for vehicle deliveries.
7. Being willing to undertake any other duties the company deems necessary.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Vehicle Mover, Yard Operative, Car Compound Driver, or a Driver for car auctions or dealerships. If you have worked as a driver and want something different, please apply.
