Overview

Summit Aviation Ltd is an established maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) centre specialising in support for JT3D, JT8D and CFM56-3 engines. As we continue to expand our capabilities, we are seeking a skilled Workshop Technician with hands-on CFM56 experience to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strip, inspect, repair and reassemble CFM56 series engines and modules to approved data.
  • Carry out precision measurements, defect reporting, and build documentation.
  • Perform engine modifications, repairs and part replacements to OEM and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with on wing support, as required.
  • Investigate and rectify technical issues, implementing corrective actions.
  • Support test cell operations and engine performance runs.
  • Uphold strict health, safety and quality standards in accordance with EASA/CAA/FAA Part 145.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience working on CFM56 engines in an MRO/overhaul environment.
  • Strong technical skills in engine disassembly/assembly and component inspection.
  • Ability to interpret OEM manuals, SBs and ADs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
  • Familiarity with Pratt & Whitney JT8D or JT3D engines.
  • Knowledge of Quantum Control or similar MRO software.
  • Borescope Inspection experience.
  • Current human factors.
