Job description

Hunter James Recruitment are assisting our client - a well-established organisation within the Commercial Vehicle (HGV) industry with their search for a Workshop Manager to join their fantastic team within thier site in Portsmouth.

The Role:
  • Day to day management of the Workshop and Service department
  • Improve and optimise standards/performance of the service team through effective performance management and development
  • Cultivate a successful business culture focused on customer service excellence, customer retention and new business for both workshop and parts
  • Optimise and improve customer service standards and ensure the departments run in accordance with company standards and key performance indicators
  • Operate to achieve a very high KPI standard including MOT Pass Rate / Breakdown results whilst maintaining the company's standard at all times
  • Increase efficiency, effectiveness and profitability of the depots
  • Regularly review resources to meet all servicing requirements, ensuring key performance indicators are met – consistently reviewing labour efficiency, labour sales, cost of sales, debtors
  • Carry out internal audits to ensure depots are fully compliant in terms of ISO and Health & Safety
  • Report directly to directors and keep all parties updated with constant communication
  • Maximise commercial opportunities through developing and implementing campaigns within specific market sectors
  • Advise on the need for investment if and when required within the depots
  • Arrange and attend regular depot meetings to allow for a clear communication channel and build great team relationships
The Candidate:
