Workshop Manager - Forklift Dealership

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00

Our client, a leading forklift dealer, is looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead a busy forklift workshop. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for technician management, workshop performance, and delivering an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily workshop operations and technician workload
  • Ensure all repairs and services are completed on time and to quality standards
  • Monitor and improve workshop productivity, efficiency, and profitability
  • Support customers with clear communication and problem-solving
  • Report on workshop KPIs and ensure accurate invoicing and documentation
  • Identify training needs and support ongoing staff development
Qualifications
  • Experience in a Forklift or an engineering workshop at Supervisor level or above
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Confident in planning, productivity management, and KPI reporting
  • Customer-facing experience with good problem-solving ability
