Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a skilled Workshop Controller in Oldham to oversee a busy workshop, coordinate technicians, and drive operational efficiency. This role is ideal for an experienced technician or supervisor aiming to progress into management within a reputable independent automotive business.

You will manage daily workflows, supervise the team, and ensure high standards of service while supporting training and development.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role in a workshop environment.
Strong leadership and people management abilities.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage daily workshop workflow and allocate tasks.

Responsibilities

Manage daily workshop workflow and allocate jobs to technicians based on their expertise.
Supervise and support the workshop team to ensure high standards of work.
Conduct quality control checks on vehicle repairs and servicing.
Support technicians with technical issues and diagnostics.
Liaise with the Service/Workshop Manager to optimise workshop performance.
Implement health and safety policies and ensure procedures are followed.
Contribute to team development and encourage best practice.
Maintain high levels of customer service and communication.
Assist in technical training and support for less experienced staff.
