Job summary

Ocean GROUP is seeking an organised, technically confident Workshop Controller to join our busy Service Department in the UK. You will plan workshop activity, allocate work to technicians, and liaise with Service Advisors to ensure a smooth customer journey from booking to handover.

You should possess a Full UK driving licence and experience in a franchised dealership or automotive workshop. The role emphasizes communication, planning, and people leadership, with a focus on safety, compliance

Responsibilities

• Plan and control incoming workshop work to allocate efficiently and complete on time.
• Assign technicians to tasks balancing skill, workload and productivity.
• Liaise with Service Advisors, Parts and other departments for a smooth customer journey.
• Monitor vehicle progress and inform customers of changes or delays.
• Drive technician performance and quality standards aligned with business objectives.
• Coach and develop technicians to hit daily objectives.
• Ensure repair documentation and health checks are completed accurately.
• Maintain warranty standards and workshop processes and health & safety.
