Halfords is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the Centre Manager, balancing workshop duties with frontline sales and customer service. You will lead a small team, drawing on your mechanical knowledge to support technicians and deliver a smooth customer journey.

The role combines hands-on workshop work with people leadership, safety compliance, and system-driven service standards in a busy Autocentre environment. Five days a week with clear earning potential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a mechanic or management experience in a similar environment.
• Strong technical knowledge with Level 2/3 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• Experience delivering high levels of customer satisfaction through effective leadership.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Centre Manager to provide productive management and leadership.
• Divide time between workshop activities and daily sales/customer service.
• Lead, coach and develop colleagues in the moment.
• Ensure high standards of vehicle maintenance and diagnostics.
