Job summary

Halfords is seeking an Assistant Manager to work with the Centre Manager, balancing workshop duties with sales and customer service responsibilities. You will lead a team of technicians, drive profitability, and ensure an excellent customer journey in a busy automotive service environment.

The role requires hands-on mechanical knowledge, leadership experience, and a focus on safety and quality. A base salary plus uncapped bonus and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through effective management and leadership.
• Experience in coaching, training, and developing colleagues in the moment.
• Strong technical/mechanical knowledge with Level 2/3 maintenance qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist Centre Manager to drive profitability and customer service in the workshop.
• Divide time between workshop duties and daily sales/customer service tasks.
• Lead and coach the team to deliver high service standards.
