Job summary

Halfords, the UK’s largest automotive service, maintenance and repair business, seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Centre Manager, balance workshop duties with sales leadership and drive customer satisfaction.

You’ll lead technicians, coach colleagues, and ensure safe, efficient operations while pushing for growth and profit across the centre. A clear progression path and in-house training are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in management and delivering customer satisfaction.
• Coaching and developing colleagues on the shop floor.
• Strong technical knowledge with Level 2/3 qualification or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of workshop operations, diagnostics and maintenance.
• Bring your own tools and use them in a busy workshop.
• Full, valid driving licence.
• Adherence to Health & Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Centre Manager with daily sales and customer service.
• Lead and develop the workshop team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Drive profitability while managing workshop operations.
• Collaborate with technicians and management to meet targets.
• Maintain health and safety compliance on site.
