Job summary

Halfords in Cardiff is seeking an Assistant Manager to work with the Centre Manager, overseeing both the workshop and sales operations. You will focus on customer experience, profitability, and team leadership in a busy Autocentre environment.

The role requires hands-on mechanics or management experience, a Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance, and a commitment to safety. A 12-month fixed-term contract with a strong bonus potential is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through effective management and leadership.
• Experience in coaching, training, and developing colleagues.
• Strong mechanical knowledge, ideally Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Centre Manager with daily operations and drive profitability.
• Lead and develop workshop and sales teams to improve customer experience.
• Balance workshop duties with front-of-house responsibilities.
• Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained across the site.
