About the role

Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant – Cwmbran

Are you passionate about supporting children in a forward-thinking primary school that values and promotes the Welsh language? We are seeking a dedicated Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to join a cluster of supportive and well-regarded primary schools across Cwmbran. These schools are proud of their Welsh language provision and are looking for individuals who can support pupils in a bilingual and inclusive learning environment. Full-time hours (8 : 30 am – 3 : 30 pm) and part-time opportunities are available to suit your availability.

Requirements

The ideal Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant will have :

  • Experience working in a primary school setting
  • Fluency in spoken Welsh, with the ability to support pupils through the medium of Welsh
  • A recognised teaching assistant qualification (such as Level 2 or 3), or relevant experience supporting learners
  • A positive, flexible attitude and a passion for promoting the Welsh language
  • Experience working with pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) is an advantage
  • A strong team spirit and excellent communication skills
