Job Title: Welsh Speaking Learning Support Assistant

Salary: £13.69 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Welsh Medium Primary School based in Barry, who are looking to appoint a passionate learning support assistant to support children’s learning through the medium of Welsh. Largely populated, this setting has key values such as fostering an environment that develops creativity and confidence.

The school is looking to take on an enthusiastic Welsh speaking LSA and the successful applicant will be working across both Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2. The Senior Leadership Team are dedicated to ensure the successful Teacher will be supported and developed from day one.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

  • Experience working with children across the primary phase (5‑11yrs).
  • The ability to speak Welsh Fluently.
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification and/or a minimum of 6 months' experience in an educational setting.
  • Thorough understanding of child protection and safeguarding protocols.
