A leading education provider in Twickenham seeks a Welfare and Engagement Advisor to support students' learning and personal development. This role focuses on students with additional learning needs, including EHCP and SEN learners, while working closely with the Inclusive Learning Support team. We are recruiting for a Welfare and Engagement Advisor to join our Student Experience team.
Welfare and Engagement Advisers play a leading role in ensuring that students have the appropriate personal support to develop excellent attitudes to learning, become self‑confident and self‑assured, and know that they have the potential to be a successful student which will have a strong, positive impact on their progress. This post has particular responsibility for supporting students with additional learning needs including mainstream EHCP / High Needs learners and students with SEN needs, and will also work closely with the Inclusive Learning Support team to maximise student engagement and success.
Please note: for individuals who start a term time only role after 1st September, the salary will be pro‑rated from the start date to the end of this academic year (31st August 2026). This ensures that the correct entitlement to pay and holiday pay is relative to the portion of the year worked. Payment will be made in equal monthly instalments until 31 August, and will revert to normal arrangements at the start of the following academic year.
Richmond upon Thames College is part of the Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College Group (HRUC) and is one of London’s most successful Further Education Colleges providing education and training to 16‑19 year olds and adults from across Richmond, London and Surrey for over 80 years. We have opened a new building in 2020 and developed a brand‑new technology‑focused STEM Centre in 2024.
This exciting and innovative new learning environment is located within the grounds of the current college site, remaining convenient for public transport links – adjacent to the A316 and a short walk from Twickenham rail station and several regular London bus routes.
