A leading defence and engineering organization is seeking a Welder to work primarily on submarines and various ship projects in Plymouth. This position offers a competitive basic salary of £35,530 with a guaranteed OTE of £50,882, alongside training and progression opportunities. Ideal candidates will have a level 2 qualification or above and must be local to Plymouth or willing to move. Shift work is required, covering days and nights.

The Role
  • Work primarily on submarines, with additional tasks on ships and in factory environments.
  • Executing high-quality welding using specialised tools and machinery
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Supporting the HMS Victorious project within our Submarines business unit
  • Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to meet project milestones
The Person
  • Welder or similar.
  • Level 2 or above.
  • Local to Plymouth or moving to the area.
  • Happy to work shifts.
The Shifts
  • Week 1: Monday to Friday days.
  • Week 2: Monday to Friday nights.
  • Week 3: Monday to Sunday days.
  • Week 4: Monday to Thursday days.
