MIG/TIG Welder Fabricator

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and highly skilled MIG/TIG Welder to support their growing operations in Lincoln. This is a permanent position offering a competitive package, excellent working conditions, and a strong team environment.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality welding tasks on a variety of small to large fabrications using both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The role requires an individual who can read and interpret complex engineering drawings and work with minimal supervision to meet tight tolerances and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on plate and pipework across various materials, including stainless steel, mild steel, and nickel alloys.
  • Work from detailed engineering drawings to produce high-standard fabrications.
  • Operate independently and as part of a team in a busy workshop environment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, using provided PPE and maintaining a clean, organised work area.
  • Ensure all work is completed to company and industry standards, within specified tolerances.
Candidate Profile:
  • Time-served or experienced welder with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
  • Strong proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce consistently high-quality work.
  • Experience with welding codes/certifications is preferred but not essential.
  • Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Comfortable using a variety of workshop tools, machinery, and plant equipment.
  • Forklift truck license and overhead crane training are desirable but not mandatory.
  • Flexible and reliable, with a team‑focused approach.
Client Offering:
  • Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with skills and experience)

  • Core working hours (38.5 hours/week):
    • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:30
    • Friday: 07:00 – 14:00
  • Overtime available at time and a half
