Qualifications

  • Experience welding pressure vessels and pressure-retaining components.
  • Proven ability to produce X-ray / UT-tested welds.
  • Strong background in stainless steel fabrication.
  • Competent welding in 2G position to approved WPS.

Responsibilities

  • Welding pressure-rated sub-assemblies and high-integrity equipment.
  • Working to strict welding procedures with high NDT success rates.
  • Maintaining quality and achieving production deadlines.
  • Producing radiographic / ultrasonic acceptable welds.
  • Completing traceability documentation.
  • Slinging and lifting large heavy components.

36.5 hours per week - 4-day week - Mon-Wed 07:00am-4:45pm, Thursday 07:00am-4:15pm

We are now seeking an experienced Welder to join our team and support the production of high-specification pressure vessels and components, manufactured to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding pressure-rated sub-assemblies and high-integrity equipment
  • Working to strict welding procedures with high NDT success rates
  • Maintaining quality and achieving production deadlines
  • Producing radiographic / ultrasonic acceptable welds
  • Completing traceability documentation
  • Slinging and lifting large heavy components
Essential Skills & Requirements
  • Experience welding pressure vessels and pressure-retaining components
  • Proven ability to produce X-ray / UT-tested welds
  • Strong background in stainless steel fabrication
  • Competent welding in 2G position to approved WPS
  • Ability to read and work to engineering drawings

You must be experienced in:

  • GMAW (MIG/MAG)

  • Pipe welding & open-root welding
  • Weld purging for stainless pipework
