Welder

Northamptonshire

An established and growing manufacturing business is seeking an experienced TIG & MIG Welder to join their production team. The company specialises in precision-engineered instrumentation for industries such as automotive, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing.

Welder Shifts
  • 40 hours per week – Late Shift
  • Monday–Thursday: 15:30 – 00:00 (½ hour unpaid lunch, 2x 10‑min paid breaks)
  • Friday: 11:30 – 20:00 (1x 10‑min paid break)
Welder Responsibilities
  • TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel components
  • Assemble and weld a range of precision instruments using jigs, fixtures, and manipulators.
  • Carry out basic assembly tasks such as pressure testing and leakage testing.
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure a tidy, organised work area.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in developing new production methods.
Welder Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years TIG welding experience in a high‑tech manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with orbital welding or pipe welding
  • Experience working with manipulators or turntables
  • Skilled in welding stainless steel to a very high standard.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with exotic materials (316, Duplex, Super Duplex).
