Job summary

A local support service in Pontyclun is looking for a personal support worker for a 16-year-old boy with ADHD and ASD. The role involves accompanying him on social outings, ensuring his safety, and building a trusting relationship. Ideal candidates should have a good sense of humour, patience, and experience working with children similar to him. The position offers part-time hours on weekends with a pay that meets NLW plus mileage for travel, alongside paid holiday and necessary training.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with ADHD/Autism preferred.
• Must be a driver with own car and business class insurance.
• Mature attitude, calm and energetic personality.

Responsibilities

• Accompany the child to social activities such as cinema and bowling.
• Build a trusting relationship with the child.
• Ensure the safety of the child at all times.
• Support the child with handling money.
• Engage in outdoor walks and exercise.
