Qualifications

Job description

A valuable opportunity has arisen within a well-established water management company who provide specialist water treatment/hygiene and legionella services to clients nationwide. They currently have a vacancy for an experienced, self‑motivated and hard‑working Water Treatment Service Engineer based in and around Derbyshire/Midlands. The successful candidate will be experienced in carrying out servicing and analysis duties on closed system and cooling towers as well as experience working on a range of site types including healthcare sites. The ideal candidate will also have experienced maintaining and developing new and existing client accounts. Applications from Derby, Stafford, Coventry, Leicester, Kettering, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience:
  • Will have a good educational, chemical, technical and water treatment background.
  • Previous experience working in this role within the water treatment/hygiene industry.
  • Be fully conversant with the current guidelines – ACOP L8.
  • Have experience in installation, maintenance and commissioning.
  • Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
  • You will be electrically qualified and familiar with the requirements of HSG274 & BSRIA BG50.
  • A full clean driving licence is essential.
Key Role:
  • Monitor the client’s air and water systems to ensure compliance with the current Health and Safety legislation.
  • Carrying out monthly temperature monitoring, weekly and monthly cooling tower and steam boiler analysis in line with required health and safety guidelines.
  • Carrying out closed system analysis along with balanced flushing and full system flushing where necessary.
  • Carry out Legionella Risk Assessments and produce comprehensive reports.
  • Management and development of key accounts for both new and existing clients.
  • Build and maintain a professional working relationship with the company’s portfolio of clients.
  • Collate the relevant information to provide service reports to maintain the high standards required by legislation.
  • Attend meetings as and when required.
  • Have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
