Job description

Our well‑regarded client is a water treatment company delivering a range of outstanding services across the UK. They are actively recruiting a qualified Water Treatment Engineer/Plumber based in and around the Edgware area. The successful candidate will be a remedial plumber with experience in water treatment, water hygiene and remedial plumbing duties to a varied site base. Applications are welcome from Enfield, St Albans, Harrow and surrounding areas.

Experience

• Extensive experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer within the water treatment industry.
• Hands‑on experience carrying out remedial plumbing for a mixed portfolio of sites.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing is advantageous.
• Fully conversant with Health & Safety procedures/legislation and the water treatment industry.
• Strong chemical, technical and educational background.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Duties

• Carry out cleaning and chlorination on hot and cold‑water systems, boilers, cooling towers, shower heads and flushes.
• Descale and disinfect tanks, perform tank cleans and dosing.
• Monitor temperatures, conduct routine sampling, analyse water systems and interpret results.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as required.
• Complete worksheets for work carried out.
• Build and maintain a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
• Collate and provide accurate reports.
• Visit sites as per client requirements.

The successful post‑holder will be versatile, flexible, have a strong work ethic and be able to complete the work effectively within timelines, with flexibility for travel.
