Overview

Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression. We are looking for a Water Hygiene Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same. Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Water Hygiene Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation. As the Water Hygiene Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Legionella risk assessments both manually and using electronic systems.
• Complete and return all risk assessment paperwork and reports accurately and on time.
• Carry out additional operational tasks as required to fulfill contractual obligations.
• Use IT systems and PDAs effectively for reporting and documentation.
• Draw schematic diagrams related to water systems for risk assessment purposes.
• Ensure compliance with regulations such as ACOP L8, HSG274, BS8580-1:2019, and HTM 04-01.

Qualifications

• Someone with previous experience within Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring or Water Treatment is essential.
• We welcome applicants with limited or no direct experience, provided they have relevant experience in similar fields.
• Advanced knowledge and experience of maintaining water systems is desirable.
• Basic IT skills, including the use of tablets / mobile devices and Microsoft programmes are necessary.
• The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively is required in every part of this role.
• You will be required to work alone and as part of a team and should thrive in both environments.
