Job summary

Primary Water Solutions in Reading is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to grow our water hygiene and Legionella services. You will identify opportunities, win new business and nurture long-term client relationships while managing your own sales pipeline from contact to contract.

You should have proven water industry experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and be comfortable travelling with a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Previous business development or sales experience within the water industry.
• Strong understanding of water hygiene, Legionella compliance and related services.
• Proven track record of generating new business and developing accounts.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the water hygiene and compliance market.
• Build relationships with facilities managers and other key decision-makers.
• Generate and manage your own sales pipeline from initial contact through to contract award.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and networking opportunities.
• Understand customer requirements and work with operational teams to develop suitable solutions.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial presentations.
• Develop existing accounts and identify opportunities for additional services.
• Maintain accurate records of opportunities, activity and pipeline progression.
• Work closely with internal operational and technical teams to ensure a smooth handover of new business.
• Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activity and opportunities within the water compliance sector.
• Represent Primary Water Solutions professionally and build long-term client partnerships.
