Waste Operative with Counterbalance License

Position: Waste Operative with Counterbalance License
Contract: Permanent
Type: Full Time 37.5 hours
Hours: 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday
Pay: £12.75
Location: McCormick Peterborough PE7 3HH

Responsibilities

• Operating forklifts to transport, load and unload waste materials within our facilities.
• Sorting and segregating different types of waste for recycling or disposal.
• Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations at all times.
• Assisting with general maintenance and cleaning of waste management equipment and facilities.
• Collaborating with team members to optimize operational efficiency and productivity.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator license/certification.
• Previous experience in waste management or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
