A local government council in England is seeking a Waste Management Technician to assist in the management of waste operations. Responsibilities include supporting operations at recycling and household waste sites while ensuring high service standards. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of waste management, good organizational skills, and a valid Certificate of Technical Competence. Salary: £28,605 - £31,029 per annum (Pro rata for part time) (based on 37 hours per week)
Working Hours:Annualised hours (1686.4 annual contracted working hours, to average 37 hours per week) *Note: Contracted working hours based on under 5 years' service after deduction of annual leave and public holiday entitlement (25 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays)
Working Pattern: To be agreed with line manager but will average at 37 hours per week over a year and will typically be between 35 and 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend and Bank Holiday work may be required, paid in accordance with Council Policy.

Leicestershire County Council is looking to recruit a Waste Management Technician to support and develop the management of waste operations at its Recycling and Household Waste Sites (RHWS) and Waste Transfer Stations (WTS).
Candidates must be self‑motivated, hard‑working, willing to learn and have good customer care skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day operation of the RHWSs, WTSs and relevant waste contracts, including the operation of the Council’s weighbridges and carrying out service standard and duty of care checks.
