At GXO, we're on the hunt for dynamic Solutions Designers to join our team in Northampton. Reporting to the Head of Warehouse Solutions, you'll be at the forefront of crafting cutting‑edge warehouse solutions that drive cost savings and elevate service levels for our customers. You'll bring layouts and operational concepts to life‑whether manual or automated‑using 2D AutoCAD or 3D design/rendering.

What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Work alongside new and existing customers, understanding their requirements before undertaking, creating and presenting solutions analysis and design
  • Work independently on warehouse design projects whilst supporting multiple projects, varying in scale and complexity
  • Develop a variety of operational concepts for both manual and automated solutions utilising innovation in order to meet customer requirements
  • Take responsibility of the project management of the analytical and costing process, ensuring best practice is maintained throughout
  • Provide assistance with the production of internal and external proposals and presentations including producing relevant sections and taking part in customer presentations as required
What you need to succeed at GXO
  • Experienced in designing and presenting warehousing solutions to customers
  • Previous or current experience within 3PL and automation is essential
  • Highly autonomous, and experienced in responding to RFQs, data analysis in a highly customer‑facing role
  • Highly proficient in excel and Auto‑CAD, ideally with exposure to warehouse design software
  • Exposure and understanding of warehouse management systems would be beneficial
