Job summary

A leading drinks manufacturer in Glasgow is looking for a Warehouse Operator to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while managing daily activities to meet department KPIs. The ideal candidate should hold English & Mathematics Standard Grades and have experience with warehouse operations, such as picking and packing. Basic training is provided, and a valid FLT license is advantageous. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract located in Glasgow.

About the Role

To undertake daily / weekly / monthly activities in order for the Warehouse Department to meet KPI requirements for cost, quality, service and behaviours through agreed ways of working.

Please note that this will be on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Key Accountabilities

• Comply with all Statutory & Legal requirements
• Comply with all Safety, Health & Environment requirements
• Comply with any appropriate packaging or food hygiene safety regulations as defined by policy or legislation, such as HACCP
• Comply with all Product & Process Quality requirements
• Comply with all Housekeeping, Cleaning & 5S requirements
• Comply with basic asset care requirements. This is a requirement for all operators, not just those that previously had the Asset Care grade
• Operate Warehouse Equipment in order to ensure the department delivers finished goods of the right quality, at the right time and at the right cost to the logistics department
• Undertake improvement activities to ensure the department meets all of it’s KPI (Key Performance Indicators) Targets, such as Short Interval Control (SIC)
• Undertake training for new skills & tasks within the Department in line with PDPs. The primary objective being to up-skill those with fewer skills.
• Undertake any Warehouse related tasks, as directed by the First Line Manager.
• Attend Meetings & Briefings as necessary.
• Comply with all documentation and transactions required to operate and improve performance in the department.
• Ensure that all internal customer requirements are met.
• Understanding of food safety requirements within the role
• To accurately pick and pack orders ensuring that all stock is complete and undamaged, ensuring compliance with operating procedures

About you

• English & Mathematics Standard Grades or equivalent.
• Packaging or Engineering based qualification an advantage.
• All operational training to be able to do the role is provided.
• Appropriate FLT License with Keg Clamp experience an advantage.
• Computer Literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.
• Picking experience desireable.
