We are looking for a dedicated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Night Warehouse Operative at our Wellingborough depot. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and timely processing of parcels.

Role Responsibilities:

• The primary duties of the Night Warehouse Operative will involve manual handling and sorting within a fast‑paced warehouse environment:
• Manual Handling: Safely and efficiently lifting, carrying, and moving a variety of parcels. This includes items that may be large, bulky, or heavy, requiring physical stamina and adherence to manual handling guidelines.
• Sorting: Accurately sorting incoming parcels into their correct outbound categories, primarily based on postcodes/delivery routes.
• Loading/Unloading: Assisting with the loading and unloading of trailers and vehicles as required.
• Caging: Placing sorted parcels securely into cages, pallets, or designated areas ready for dispatch.
• General Duties: Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy working environment and adhering to all health and safety procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

• Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to comfortably lift and move heavy/large items repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Reliability: Excellent timekeeping and a commitment to working the full night shift (22:00 - 08:00) consistently.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately sort items based on specific criteria (e.g., postcode).
• Teamwork: Capability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy warehouse setting.
• Prior Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manual labour role is advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.
