Warehouse Operative - Cold Environment

Location: Bristol

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off

Shifts: 6:00am-6:00pm (Days) or 6:00pm-6:00am (Nights)

Salary: Days £12.90 per hour | Nights £13.90 per hour (plus overtime outside normal shift pattern)

Contracted Hours: 40.25 hours per week

Environment: Cold (chilled warehouse)

Includes some weekend work

Overview

We're a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK, supplying all major supermarkets. At our Bristol site, we're the UK's top producer of chilled sauces and soups—supplying over 37% of the UK's chilled sauces and 20% of chilled soups to Sainsbury's and Asda.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Picking and processing finished products for customer orders.
  • Loading orders onto vehicles for delivery.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized Despatch area, including stock rotation.
  • Logging product shortages and reporting to management.
  • Working in a cold environment and meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Wearing PPE at all times and following Health & Safety guidelines.
What We're Looking For
  • Good level of English and Maths.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 4-on-4-off pattern.
  • Previous experience in a similar role (food manufacturing preferred but not essential).
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene (training provided).
  • Forklift license preferred but not essential.
