  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the warehouse.
  • Reporting damaged goods or stock discrepancies.
  • Operating equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts.

Warehouse Operative

Site Location: Newton Abbot, TQ12

Contract: Temporary ongoing

Shift: 12-hour shift, 4 on / 4 off, 6:00am – 6:00pm

Pay Rate: £13.03 per hour

Your Role as a Warehouse Operative

As a key member of the site’s warehouse and logistics team, you’ll play a vital role in the safe, efficient movement and storage of goods, supporting production and supply chain activities in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Your responsibilities
  • Receiving, storing, and dispatching goods accurately and efficiently
  • Ensuring stock is correctly labelled, tracked, and rotated (FIFO)
  • Loading/unloading vehicles and transferring stock to designated areas
  • Working collaboratively with production and supply chain teams
  • Following food safety and hygiene procedures throughout all warehouse activities
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation across the warehouse
  • Reporting damaged goods or stock discrepancies to team leaders
  • Operating equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts (if trained)
