A leading pharmaceutical services company is searching for a Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at their new facility in Derbyshire. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and over 5 years of experience in a Warehouse Management role. Full Time Permanent — Derbyshire/Midlands — Onsite
The role is to recruit an experienced, highly organised, hands-on Warehouse Manager for Uniphar Group's new state-of-the-art facility located in Derbyshire. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities, excellent supply chain experience and a proven track record in warehouse operations management. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational planning, staffing and implementation of lean warehouse processes, ensuring efficiency, safety and scalability. The Warehouse Manager will optimise workflow, drive productivity, and ensure operational excellence in delivering dedicated warehouse-as-a-service to all business units within the facility. This role sits within Uniphar Group's Global Operations team and must collaborate on key group strategic projects both within the UK and globally.
As the business is relocating from London to Derbyshire there will be a period of transition during which there will be expectation to spend an element of time working at the London depot. During this time, you will learn the current procedures and processes and gain a good foundation of knowledge to allow for the smooth transition of business to the Derbyshire depot. You will assist in managing the inventory transfer, systems migration, and operational readiness activities. This will include assisting with the physical move of stock, equipment, and key assets while maintaining service continuity.
This is not a traditional 9-to-5 position; it requires adaptability to meet operational demands, particularly during the transition period.
