Are you tired of the same old night jobs? We are seeking a proactive, personable, stay-awake-at-night type of person to join our team as a Waking Night Support Worker (internally known as a Building Supervisor) in Gloucester.

Who we are looking for

If you love working nights, stay busy during quiet shifts, and are always happy to talk and help people, you could be a great fit.

Role details

This is a full-time position based in our supported accommodation buildings in Gloucester. Responsibilities include working a rolling rota of 4 shifts per week (12.25 hours per shift, 8:00 PM – 8:15 AM, 1 hour unpaid break).

Responsibilities
  • Ensure buildings are safe and secure for residents and act as a point of contact for residents.
  • Liaise with support staff to ensure clear information flow between shifts through handovers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the building; undertake light maintenance duties.
  • Engage with residents and listen to their needs.
  • Defuse situations affecting health, safety, or well-being; undertake health and safety checks and walk-arounds during shifts.
  • Use sound judgement to resolve issues or seek support from peers or emergency services when needed.
  • Demonstrate empathy and patience toward residents.
Training and career progression

Tailored, specific training will support you to progress through a training pathway within CCP. We promote Health, Wellbeing, Diversity, and Inclusion in all our services and staff.

Team and environment

Our close-knit teams of Building Supervisors, Support Workers, and Project Managers deliver soutien over a rota pattern. Experience with a diverse cross section of society is useful but not essential, as training and induction are provided.

Pay: £29,484 per year (Band B)
