A community support organization in Wales is seeking a Part-Time Personal Assistant to assist with personal care needs and meal preparation. The ideal candidate should be compassionate, patient, and have a good sense of humour. This role offers 10.5 hours per week at £14.30 per hour, with the potential for additional hours. I am a 55 year old woman living in the St Athan area. I have cats and a young assistance/medical alert dog (in training) at home.
I am currently ambulatory disabled and with my disabled shower rooms I can usually shower/wash myself; however, I am unsteady on my feet, I cannot use my right arm without pain and I have loss of sensation in my hands (carpal tunnel syndrome) and feet; hence the level of safeguarding care supervision needed.
I am looking for a PA to support/supervise me at home with my personal care needs and to help prepare breakfast or lunch.
£14.30 per hour. Double time on any bank holidays worked.
I have 10.5 hours per week available currently and this will be worked across 7 days per week. Potential for more hours if the tasks take up more time than expected.
1 hour each morning and 30 minutes each evening. Times can be flexible to work around the potential PA.
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.
All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.
Although this is a part‑time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
Wages will be paid on a four‑weekly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
