  • Well‑equipped clinic – five consulting rooms, two advanced theatres, a dental suite, and separate dog and cat wards for inpatient comfort
  • Supportive, inclusive culture – flat, non‑hierarchical structure where every team member contributes to clinical excellence
  • Unique CIC model – the only veterinary Community Interest Company in the UK, focused on accessible, high‑quality care rather than profit maximisation

A unique and forward‑thinking veterinary practice is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly, supportive team as a consulting and vaccine vet. This RCVS‑accredited practice prides itself on delivering high‑quality care to pets and pet owners without the hefty price tag, ensuring accessible and affordable veterinary services for all.

The Role:

The successful candidate will work with a diverse caseload, primarily comprising sick and injured pets, making a tangible difference every day. The clinic is exceptionally well‑equipped, featuring five dedicated consulting rooms, two advanced theatres, and a dental suite. Separate dog and cat wards ensure the comfort of inpatients throughout their stay. The practice handles a wide range of medical and surgical cases, with the added expertise of an on‑site Orthopaedic surgeon. Operating in a flat, non‑hierarchical structure, the team thrives in a culture of inclusivity and mutual support, where every team member contributes to delivering clinical excellence.

About the Practice:

As the only veterinary Community Interest Company (CIC) in the UK, this practice stands apart from traditional veterinary services. Their mission is clear: no pet should go untreated or face euthanasia when a viable treatment exists. By offering free consultations and transparent pricing, they help break down barriers to care, making veterinary treatment accessible to those earning the Real Living Wage and ensuring pets receive the care they deserve.

Working Hours:
  • 20 hours per week, worked over 4 days
  • 2:9 Saturday rotation (TOIL applies)
Benefits Include:
  • Salary: £38,950 – £68,675 pro‑rata
  • 6 weeks holiday, including bank holidays
  • Fully funded CPD
  • Private healthcare, 52 weeks sickness benefit, and free Employee Assistance Programme (after qualifying period)
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity package
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • RCVS and VDS fees paid
  • Access to counselling support (mental health, financial, and life counselling) after 12 months
  • Cycle to work scheme and E‑Car scheme
  • Staff discounts
  • Refer‑a‑friend bonus

This is an outstanding opportunity for a veterinary surgeon looking to make a real difference in the lives of pets and their owners while working in a progressive, inclusive environment.
