A leading veterinary charity in Wolverhampton is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join their Pet Hospital Team. We are looking to recruit a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) to join our friendly Pet Hospital Team in Wolverhampton.
In this role, you will provide outstanding customer service and clinical support, promote pet wellbeing, and assist our veterinary teams in delivering the highest standard of care. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual who will play a vital role in supporting the health and happiness of pets while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our practice.
The key responsibilities of this role include maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment at all times while assisting with animal handling and inpatient care. You will support Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Surgeons in their daily tasks, help prepare theatres, and carry out kennel duties.
In addition, you will be responsible for dispensing and managing stock as required, alongside performing general cleaning and washing duties to ensure smooth operations and high standards of care.
This is a full-time position with a varied shift pattern between 7 : 45am and 8 : 00pm. The role is offered on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
Hold a Veterinary Care Assistant Level 2 diploma or equivalent qualification
Highly self-motivated with strong customer service skills
