A leading organisation in the maritime sector is seeking an experienced Vessel Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of its managed vessels from a South Shields base. This shore-based role offers the chance to combine technical expertise with hands-on project management.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Plan and oversee vessel maintenance, repairs, dry dockings, and surveys.
  • Manage contractors, budgets, and the procurement of parts and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, class, and safety requirements.
  • Carry out vessel visits to supervise works and support onboard teams.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and contribute to audit and inspection processes.
Ideal Candidate :
  • Class 1 CoC (Engineering) or background as a Marine Engineer (CPO / WO) or experience as a Technical Superintendent.
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
  • UK citizen eligible for SC security clearance.
