Introduction

Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is recruiting for a Senior PMO to support existing rotorcraft platforms in the execution of their portfolio delivery plans. The role will need to support a complex internal/external stakeholder map back into Boeing US and RAF, Army and DE&S customers across multiple UK sites. The Senior PMO will lead the Project Management Office to ensure consistent delivery of strategic programs and projects across the organization. This role defines and enforces governance, develops portfolio reporting and forecasting, improves project management maturity, and partners with senior leaders to align project outcomes with business objectives.

Position Responsibilities
  • Lead the Project Management Office to ensure consistent delivery of strategic programs and projects across the organization
  • Partnering with senior leaders to align project outcomes with business objectives
  • Supporting and integrating work from team members
  • Define and enforce governance frameworks and standards to ensure consistent project selection, approval, and compliance across the portfolio
  • Develop and maintain portfolio-level reporting and forecasting to provide leadership with clear visibility into schedule, budget, risks, and resource capacity
  • Drive improvements in project management maturity by implementing best practices, training, and process optimization
Person Requirements
  • Detail-oriented with strong leadership and motivational skills to lead
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; effective at stakeholder engagement across internal and external customers
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills; able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Change-agent mindset with the ability to drive governance, process improvements and raise project management maturity.
  • Comfortable coordinating and facilitating senior programme board meetings, offsites and executive briefings.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to synthesise programme-level information and present clear recommendations.
Experience Requirements
  • Proven track record supporting large, complex, multi-site programmes and delivering portfolio-level outcomes.
  • Experience defining and enforcing governance, and developing portfolio reporting, forecasting and capacity planning.
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis and report writing for senior leadership and programme boards.
  • Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management across complex internal/external stakeholder maps.
  • Ideally experienced in the rotorcraft domain or similar defence/aerospace programmes.
  • Familiarity with common tools and systems: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Boeing or industry-recognised systems for managing risks, issues and opportunities.
Work Authorisation

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll
