A public service organization in Northern Ireland seeks a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to service and maintain various vehicles and equipment. Candidates must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle or equivalent, possess strong diagnostic skills, and have at least three years of maintenance experience. The role includes supervising staff and ensuring safety standards are upheld. This position offers a dynamic work environment and is pivotal in maintaining public transport and equipment reliability.

Responsible For: Up to 5 staff (any semi‑skilled staff, apprentices or other staff delegated to work with a nominated mechanic)

5. Please note that the Selection Panel reserves the right to shortlist only those applicants that it believes most strongly meet the criteria for the role.
6. In the event of an excessive number of applications, the Selection Panel also reserves the right to apply any desirable criteria as outlined in Section 3 at shortlisting, in which case these will be applied in the order listed. It is important therefore that you also clearly demonstrate on your application form on how you meet any desirable criteria.

Evidence of experience of working with vehicle electrics and of using diagnostic computer equipment.
