Responsibilities

• Utilise diagnostic tools and technology for issue resolution.
• Complete routine safety checks and report needed corrections.
• Accurately record all work on job cards.

Location: Tipton

Salary: up to £45,000 basic per annum, depending on experience and qualifications

Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, alternating shift pattern of 7:00am‑4:30pm and 8:30am‑6:00pm with alternate Saturday mornings

• Work closely with the Van Centre Manager to address staffing, training requirements, and performance metrics.
• Conduct fault diagnosis and carry out necessary repairs on vehicles.
• Perform scheduled servicing to maintain vehicles at an exceptional standard.
• Take part in the call‑out and roadside assistance rota when required.
• Utilise diagnostic tools and technology to identify and resolve issues accurately.
• Complete routine safety checks and report any corrective actions needed.
• Accurately record all work completed on job cards.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Electrical and mechanical skills and experience
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Good understanding of health and safety in a workshop environment
• Clean driving licence
• HGV licence would be an advantage
