Job summary

A leading employment agency is seeking an experienced multi drop courier van driver for ongoing work in Pocklington. The successful candidate will be expected to perform 80 to 100 stops daily, working from Monday to Friday starting at 07:30, with potential weekend shifts. Requirements include a UK driving license for over 6 months, being over 25, having prior multi drop experience, and willingness for a DBS check. Compensation starts at £13.31 per hour, increasing to £16.64 for hours beyond 45.

Qualifications

• Must have a UK licence held for more than 6 months.
• Must be over 25 years of age for insurance purposes.
• No more than 6 minor points on driving record.
• No DR, DD, or CD endorsements.
• Must be able to supply previous employment reference contact details covering the last 2 years.
• Must be prepared for a DBS check within first 4 weeks of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Perform 80 to 100 stops a day for deliveries and collections.
• Work Monday to Friday starting at 07:30.
• Cover other areas if requested by the business.
• Attend a paid on-site induction on day 1.

The Best Connection are an Employment Business recruiting for this role on behalf of our client.

Our client operates from their depot based in Pocklington YO42 postcode. They have a number of vans which undertake the multi drop and collection small parcel side of their business.

We have an opportunity to recruit an experienced multi drop courier van driver for our client for long term ongoing work which may lead to a temp to perm offer for the right candidate. The client will expect performance of 80 to 100 stops a day which will be a mixture of deliveries and collections.

THE CRITERIA IS :

• MUST HAVE A UK LICENCE HELD FOR MORE THAN 6 MONTHS.
• MUST BE OVER 25 YEARS OF AGE FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES.
• NO MORE THAN 6 MINOR POINTS.
• NO DR, DD OR CD ENDORSEMENTS.
• MUST HAVE PREVIOUS MULTI DROP COURIER EXPERIENCE.
• MUST BE ABLE TO SUPPLY PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENT REFERENCE CONTACT DETAILS COVERING THE LAST 2 YEARS
• MUST BE PREPARED FOR US TO APPLY FOR A DBS CHECK WITHIN THE FIRST 4 WEEKS OF THE ASSIGNMENT
• MUST BE PREPARED TO WORK WEEKENDS IF REQUESTED TO DO SO

The role will require the van courier driver to work Monday to Friday and start work at 07.30 in the morning. Some weekend work may be offered from time to time to cope with peak volume times. Drivers will be kept in the same postcoded area as much as possible but may be requested to cover other areas if the business needs this.

PAY : £ 13.31 PER HOUR 1ST 45 HOURS

£ 16.64 PER HOUR OVER 45 HOURS

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE EXPECTED TO START AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND ATTEND A PAID ON-SITE INDUCTION ON DAY 1.
